    Here’s the recipe for Crispy and Hearty Lángos;

     

    Directions:

    • In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. 
    • Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
    • In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. 
    • Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, warm milk, and 2 tbsp of vegetable oil.
    • Stir until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
    • Punch down the dough and divide it into 6-8 equal portions. 
    • Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it into a disc about ¼ inch thick.
    • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
    • Fry each disc until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. 
    • Drain on paper towels.
    • While the Lángos are still warm, rub the minced garlic over the surface. 
    • Spread a generous amount of sour cream on top and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
    • Serve the Lángos immediately, enjoying the crispy exterior and savory toppings.
