Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). 
  • Boil the sliced potatoes in salted water until just tender but not fully cooked, about 10 minutes. 
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Grease a baking dish with butter. 
  • Arrange a layer of potatoes at the bottom, followed by a layer of sliced eggs and sausage. 
  • Sprinkle it with salt and pepper. 
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of potatoes.
  • Spread the sour cream evenly over the top layer. 
  • If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese over the sour cream for an extra creamy and cheesy finish.
  • Dot the top with small pieces of butter. 
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
