Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). 
  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Spread bread cubes in the dish. 
  • Sprinkle raisins if using.
  • In a bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread. 
  • Let it soak for 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden and the custard is set.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm, topped with powdered sugar or caramel sauce if desired.
