Bring the festive spirit to life with delightful Holiday Theme-Print Cookies! These cookies are perfect for holiday gatherings or as gifts for loved ones. With their buttery texture and colorful designs, they’re as fun to make as they are to eat.
Holiday Theme-Print Cookies are made with a simple sugar cookie dough that’s rolled and stamped with holiday-themed designs such as snowflakes, trees, or stars. These cookies are customizable, allowing you to use food-safe stamps or cutters to create unique prints. Decorate with colorful icing or leave them plain for a rustic, classic look.

Here’s the recipe for Unique and Beloved Holiday Theme-Print Cookies;

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients.
  • Use a mixer or beater to beat all the wet ingredients.
  • Add flour mixture into the butter mixture and make the dough.
  • Chill the dough for several hours.
  • Take the orange sized dough piece and pat it flat in your hand.
  • Sprinkle lightly with a flour sugar mix. (Use a 2:1 ratio of flour and sugar.  4 tbsp flour mixed with 2 tbsp sugar).
  • Using a rolling pin, roll dough on a flour board or between wax paper.
  • Flour both sides of the dough, so the dough will lift easily when cut.
  • Roll out to about ¼ inch thickness.
  • Use cookie cutters to cut out the cookie shapes. (If  the rolled out dough gets too soft, chill out for 5-10 minutes in the refrigerator).
  • Place the cookies on cookie sheets and bake them for 8-10 minutes at 200 C.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven as soon as you see them turning colour at the base of the cookies.
  • Cool the cookies for a minute or two on the baking sheet and then transfer them on a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Use a mixer to beat the icing ingredients until smooth.
  • If your icing is too thick, add a little amount of milk and thoroughly remix until the consistency you prefer.
  • Separate into different bowls and add food colours.
  • Spread the icing onto the cookies, Use cake decorating piping equipment to add decorative accents.
  • If you want sprinkle type decorating candies to stick, brush the cookie with simple Karo syrup and then sprinkle. Enjoy!
