Cinnamon Rolls are made from sweet bread dough, sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon powder, rolled, and cut into bun shapes.

Sweden-originated cinnamon buns 1.5 inches pieces, proofed and baked. These soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls are then topped with cream cheese glaze and are best when served with a cup of coffee.

Here is the recipe for irresistible Cinnamon Rolls;

 

Directions:

  • Add sugar, salt, and yeast to lukewarm milk.
  • Let sit for 5-10 mins
  • In a large bowl, add flour, baking powder, and yeast mixture.
  • Knead until a soft dough is formed.
  • Grease with oil.
  • Cover and let rest for 2-4 hrs.
  • In a small bowl, add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon powder, and cocoa powder.
  • Mix all of them and set aside.
  • When the dough size has increased, Generously flour the surface.
  • Put the kneaded dough on the floured surface.
  • Knead lightly.
  • With the help of a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a rectangular shape (about 1/2 inch thick)
  • Spread the butter and sugar mixture evenly.
  • Roll up the dough tightly forming a log.
  • Cut into evenly sized pieces. (each piece about 1 and half inches)
  • Place the pieces into a greased baking tray.
  • Let rest for 30-40 mins
  • Bake in pre-heated oven at 180° C for 15 mins.
  • In the meantime, take a bowl, add cream cheese, melted butter, milk, vanilla essence, and powdered sugar, and mix them.
  • Whisk well until smooth.
  • Set aside.
  • Spread over hot baked cinnamon rolls.
  • Enjoy with hot tea or coffee.
