½ Cup Raisins
½ Cup Golden Raisins
2 tbsp All Purpose Flour

Here’s the recipe for this delicious rich and nutty French Fruit Cake;

 

Directions:

  • Toss together candied orange peel, walnuts, and raisins with flour.
  • Set aside.
  • Grease and flour a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt).
  • Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together butter and sugar.
  • Whisk until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs (one at a time).
  • Add vanilla essence and honey.
  • Whisk well.
  • Add in the mixed dry ingredients in batches alternatively with milk.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the batter into the greased pan.
  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F).
  • Bake for 45-50 mins or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely.
