Here’s the recipe for Cheesy and Creamy Macaroni Carbonara;

 

Directions:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. 
  • Add the macaroni and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. 
  • Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the macaroni.
  • While the macaroni cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat. 
  • Add the diced Bacon and cook until it’s crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. 
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute. 
  • Remove the skillet from the heat.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream (if using). 
  • Add a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper.
  • Return the drained macaroni to the pot. 
  • Pour the egg mixture over the hot pasta, stirring quickly to create a creamy sauce. 
  • Add the Bacon and garlic, mixing well to combine. 
  • If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
  • Season with additional salt and pepper if needed. 
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
