Description
Sabudana, also known as tapioca pearls, is a popular ingredient in various beverages and desserts due to its unique texture and cooling properties. This refreshing Sabudana drink is perfect for hot days or as a healthy drink anytime.
This unique and cooling beverage is not only delicious but, also offers a delightful textural contrast, making it a perfect treat for any occasion.
Here’s the recipe for a Healthy and Refreshing Sabudana/Tapioca Pearls Drink;
Directions:
- Rinse the sabudana under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Soak it in water for 2-3 hours or until the pearls are soft and translucent.
- Drain the soaked sabudana and add it to a saucepan with 2 Cups of water.
- Cook over medium heat for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pearls are completely transparent and cooked.
- Drain and rinse under cold water.
- Set aside to cool.
- In a saucepan boil 2 cups of water.
- Put all the gelatin crystals of banana jelly from the packet into the saucepan and stir until the crystals dissolve completely.
- Transfer the jelly to a container or flat dish and let it cool.
- Place the container in the refrigerator and let it chill until the jelly is firm and set.
- Repeat the process for pineapple and strawberry jelly flavors and refrigerate them separately.
- Cut the jellies into cubes with the help of a knife and set aside.
- Combine the chilled milk, sugar, and cardamom powder in a jug. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Divide the cooked Sabudana among serving glasses.
- Add a tablespoon of rose syrup or Rooh Afza to each glass.
- Pour the prepared milk and jelly cubes over the sabudana mixture.
- Add ice cubes if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Sabudana drink!
