Here’s the recipe for Filling and Warming Mocotó;

 

Directions:

  • Begin by washing the beef mocotó thoroughly. 
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. 
  • Brown the beef pieces for 5-7 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  • In the same pot, sauté the onions and garlic until soft. 
  • Add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Return the beef to the pot, add carrots, bay leaf, beef broth, salt, and pepper. 
  • Simmer for 2 hours or until the meat is tender and the marrow has melted into the broth.
  • Gradually stir in manioc flour, allowing the stew to thicken.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. 
  • Enjoy this delicious Brazilian comfort food with rice or crusty bread.
