Here’s an easy and quick recipe for Creamy White Sauce Pasta;

 

Directions:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. 
  • Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp oil. 
  • Cook 2 cups of pasta according to package instructions. 
  • Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water (stalk).
  • In a large pan, heat 2 tsp oil over medium heat. 
  • Add 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant. 
  • Add onions, carrots, capsicum, and boiled corn. 
  • Season with salt and pepper, and cook until vegetables are tender.
  • In a separate saucepan, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat. 
  • Add 3 tbsp all-purpose flour and stir continuously to form a roux. 
  • Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the cooked vegetables to the white sauce. 
  • Season with salt, black pepper powder, mixed herbs seasoning, and red chili flakes. 
  • Add and stir ¾ cup cheddar cheese and ¼ cup mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed to reach the desired consistency. 
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
