Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated. 
  • Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl combine the flour, brown sugar, and salt for the crumble topping. 
  • Add the cubed butter and use your fingers to rub it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
