3 Cups Crushed Tomatoes

12 Lasagna Noodles cooked and drained

1 & 1/2 Cups Ricotta Cheese

Lasagna is a classic Italian dish known for its layers of pasta, rich meat sauce, creamy cheese, and savory seasonings. This homemade lasagna will surely impress with its rich flavors and comforting layers of cheesy goodness. Enjoy it as a hearty family meal or for special occasions.

Here’s a unique recipe for a Delicious Homemade Lasagna;

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  4. Add and stir the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. 
  5. Simmer the sauce for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom. Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles on top, followed by a layer of ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. 
  7. Repeat the layers, ending with a final layer of sauce and cheese on top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. 
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing. 
  11. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve hot.
