Turkish Meatballs, known as “Köfte,” are a delightful and flavorful dish popular in Turkish cuisine. These juicy meatballs are seasoned with a blend of spices and herbs, making them a perfect main course or appetizer.

These meatballs are incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed in many forms. Meatballs can be prepared in various ways, including grilling, frying, or baking. A favorite serving of meatballs is with a refreshing yogurt sauce, often flavored with lime or mint, which adds a tangy contrast to the spiced meat. Enjoy these delicious Turkish meatballs as a hearty meal or a tasty snack!

Here’s the recipe for Mouth-Watering and Toothsome Turkish Meatballs;

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, grated onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper, and mix them until well combined.
  • With damp hands, form the mixture into small, oval-shaped meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the meatballs in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the cooked meatballs to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  • Serve hot with a side of rice, or salad, or on pita bread with yogurt sauce.
