500 gm Fish Fillets snapper, cod, or tilapia, cut into pieces
1 Onion finely chopped
2 Tomatoes pureed
3 Cloves Garlic minced
1-Inch Ginger grated
1 Cup Coconut Milk
½ Cup Water or fish broth
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
½ tsp Red Chili Powder adjust to taste
½ tsp Salt adjust to taste
1 tbsp Lemon juice
For Garnish Fresh Coriander (Chopped)

This Fish Curry is a flavorful and aromatic dish that brings together tender fish fillets, rich spices, and a creamy coconut-based sauce. Here’s the recipe for Aromatic and Spicy Fish Curry;

 

Directions:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and lightly sear the fish for 2 minutes per side. 
  • Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add remaining oil and mustard seeds. 
  • When they splutter, sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until golden.
  • Add tomato puree, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder. 
  • Cook until oil separates. 
  • Pour in coconut milk and water, stirring well.
  • Add fish back to the pan, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes. 
  • Finish with lemon juice and garnish with cilantro.
