Directions

  • Cook 80% of the Chow Mein noodles according to package instructions.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Marinate the sliced chicken breast in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. 
  • Add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  • Add marinated chicken slices to the pan and cook until they are no longer pink.
  • Add onion, carrot, and cabbage to the pan. 
  • Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  • Add bell pepper and stir for only one minute.
  • Add cooked noodles to the pan along with sesame oil, salt, and pepper. 
  • Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  • Transfer Chicken Chow Mein to serving plates, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. 
  • Serve hot.
