½ tsp Turmeric Powder
4 tbsp Bengal Grams roasted & ground
4 tbsp Mustard Oil

Directions

  • In a bowl, marinate steak pieces with papaya paste for at least 4 hours.
  • Add onion, yogurt, ginger/garlic, mustard oil, turmeric powder, whole spice powder, red chilies, roasted cumin, grams, and salt.
  • Let sit for 1 hour.
  • Put them on skewers and BBQ OR
  • Cook in a greased pan on the stove OR bake in the oven.
  • Heat a coal piece to red hot.
  • With the help of tongs, transfer coal to a pan containing Bihari 
  • Boti.
  • Drizzle a few drops of oil on the coal piece.
  • Cover and let it smoke for 2-3 mins.
  • Remove the coal and plate the Bihari Boti.
  • Garnish with sliced lemon, coriander leaves, green chilies, and sliced onion.
  • Serve delicious Bihari Boti with roti, salad, raita, and tamarind/mint chutney.
